Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DiscoverChinaTech handles information submitted through the current website inquiry service.
1. Information collected
The current website collects information that you choose to submit through an Inquiry, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, country, role, delegation type, target cities, industry focus, group size, duration, travel date, target companies, and additional notes. The website does not currently provide user registration or program enrollment.
2. Purpose and legal basis
We use Inquiry information to respond to a request you make, take steps at your request before a possible business arrangement, maintain legitimate operational and security interests, and comply with legal obligations where applicable. We do not use Inquiry information for unrelated advertising or sale.
3. How information is used
To review and respond to your inquiry.
To understand your requested delegation or study tour requirements.
To communicate about possible business arrangements that you request.
To protect the security and integrity of the inquiry service and comply with applicable law.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell the information submitted through an Inquiry. We may share relevant information when needed to respond to your request, coordinate a service you have asked about, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or support the operation of the website under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
5. Current website technologies
The current website does not intentionally operate analytics, advertising, or tracking programs as part of the Inquiry service. This policy does not name a specific email, analytics, advertising, hosting, or other provider because the current service terms are provider-neutral and may change.
6. International handling
DiscoverChinaTech may coordinate an inquiry across the locations and jurisdictions involved in responding to it. Where information is handled across borders, we will apply the safeguards required by applicable law. A future programme may contain additional location, participant, or transfer terms in its Engagement Document.
7. Retention and security
We retain Inquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage related business communications, maintain required records, and protect the service. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may exercise the rights available in your jurisdiction. Where the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL) applies, these may include the right to know and access or copy personal information, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent, restrict or refuse processing in applicable circumstances, and submit a complaint. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, these may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Where the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) applies, these may include access, correction, objection where permitted, and the right to complain to the Information Regulator. Rights may be limited by legal or operational requirements.
9. Future programs
If DiscoverChinaTech later introduces account registration, program enrollment, payments, or additional participant data collection, those activities will be described in the separate agreement and privacy terms provided for that program.
10. Children and sensitive information
The current inquiry service is intended for business and travel planning and is not directed to children. Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a request and you are permitted to provide it.
11. Your questions and requests
For questions about this policy or a request concerning your Inquiry information, contact service@discoverchinatech.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
12. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the website and its inquiry service develop. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
