Terms of Service
Effective date: October 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the DiscoverChinaTech website and its inquiry service. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. Programme and inquiry service
DiscoverChinaTech provides information about China business study tours, corporate visits, and related delegation planning. The current website provides an inquiry service only. Submitting an inquiry does not create a booking, payment obligation, agency relationship, or confirmed itinerary. Any future registration, programme participation, booking, payment, cancellation, or participant data will be handled under a separate Engagement Document and the terms presented for that programme.
2. Eligibility and information
You must be legally capable of entering an agreement in your place of residence and must provide accurate, current information when submitting an inquiry or later requesting a programme. You are responsible for correcting information that becomes inaccurate.
3. Programme arrangements and payment
Programme availability, enterprise access, pricing, deposits, payment schedules, taxes, visas, accommodation, transportation, interpretation, and other service details are subject to written confirmation. No payment is due from an inquiry alone. Payment obligations, accepted payment methods, invoicing, and any additional participant information will be stated in the applicable Engagement Document.
4. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation rights, cancellation charges, refunds, postponements, substitutions, and changes to a confirmed programme will be governed by the applicable Engagement Document. Website descriptions do not create a promise of a particular company, venue, speaker, date, route, or service.
5. Travel and itinerary
You are responsible for providing valid travel documents, meeting visa and entry requirements, following carrier and accommodation rules, and obtaining appropriate travel insurance. Itineraries are indicative until confirmed and may change because of availability, safety, weather, transport, venue requirements, government measures, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
6. Participant conduct
Participants must follow applicable law, venue rules, safety instructions, and reasonable directions from programme staff and hosts. DiscoverChinaTech may refuse or end participation where conduct creates a safety, legal, operational, or reputational risk. Any consequences for a confirmed programme will be addressed in the applicable Engagement Document.
7. Media and communications
A confirmed programme may have venue-specific photography, recording, confidentiality, and communications rules. No consent to publish a participant's image or personal information is granted by submitting an inquiry. Any programme-specific media consent will be requested separately where needed.
8. Acceptable use
Do not submit false, misleading, unlawful, harmful, or malicious information.
Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems.
Do not use the website to infringe another person's rights or to violate applicable law.
9. Content and intellectual property
The website content, branding, text, visual materials, and original design are owned by or licensed to DiscoverChinaTech unless otherwise stated. You may view the content for personal or internal business evaluation. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or commercially exploit it without written permission.
10. Risk and responsibility
Business travel and site visits involve ordinary travel, health, safety, schedule, property, and operational risks. You should assess whether a proposed programme is suitable for your group and obtain advice, insurance, and permissions appropriate to your circumstances. DiscoverChinaTech does not guarantee that every risk can be eliminated.
11. Third-party services and links
The website may refer to third-party companies, destinations, or external websites. Those parties and websites operate under their own terms and policies. DiscoverChinaTech does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or performance.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website is provided for general information and inquiry purposes. To the extent permitted by law, DiscoverChinaTech makes no warranty that the website will always be available, complete, current, or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, DiscoverChinaTech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss of profit damages arising from use of the website, reliance on its general information, or circumstances outside reasonable control. DiscoverChinaTech's aggregate liability arising from a confirmed programme will not exceed the total fees actually paid by you under the applicable Engagement Document. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Force majeure
DiscoverChinaTech is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural events, epidemic or public health measures, war, civil unrest, government action, border or visa restrictions, transport disruption, venue closure, labour disputes, infrastructure failure, or interruption of essential services. Programme-specific consequences will be addressed in the applicable Engagement Document.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The courts in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, PRC have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the website or service changes. The updated version will be published on this page. Questions about these terms can be sent to service@discoverchinatech.com.
